Funny considering that 98% mosques in Pakistan don’t have a praying area for women. But who cares we want one in Espresso.
Thank you Umer! This is the exact point which so many people are missing, even a very old friend who sent me an annoyed message early in the morning as a reaction to my take on it.
We have a mosque at every corner in Pakistan. We even have a mosque over another mosque in Pakistan. But I doubt even 2% of them welcome women. No one talks about it, even most vocal “Muslimahs” have decided to go silent about it (I term it as a criminal silence). Yet when a Cafe decided that they do not have a room for prayer inside their establishment, people have decided to go “Muslim” on them.
Reminds me of something I wrote quite sometime back about women in Islam.
