10:56 pm // another disgraceful day; massacre in Lahore

There has been a lot happening recently. World as at least how I see has become a giant rabid dog, just biting on everything it can come across. More I see and hear things more depressing it all becomes on where we have all come to. Is there anything worse we can be capable of doing even?

Just today some terrorists barged into two place of worship of Ahmadis (aka Qadiyanis) and started a mass slaughter of innocent people in Lahore. Before I proceed a brief history of this group. It all started in early 1900s in then united India. This one religious leader started some great work on the religion of Islam and soon earned admiration from everyone. Then something happened and he claimed to be a Prophet himself and denied the Prophet Muhammad being the last one, which is actually what goes against the fundamental tenants of Islam. So yes they were considered to be heretics by all the other Muslims.

Things remained relatively calm and nothing was going on about it until in now present Pakistan and India around 70s there started a popular religious movement under the name of “Namoos-e-Khatam-e-Nauwat” (trans. Honour of End of Prophecy). This all happened when Muslims around the

Being a meat eater...

goodbyeblighty:

I had the best steak last night. I know, I know… I’m on a diet. I don’t care though because my diet has been about as close to being perfect as can be over this last month. Regardless, this blog is about eating meat. My relationship with meat is pretty strange. I only eat halal meat. That means my meat has to be blessed in the name of the Lord when the life of the animal is taken and that has to be in a special way too. When I’m at home it is available pretty readily and it’s very easy to find in London too but not many of the restaurants I like to go to serve halal meat.

Rediff News: ‘Pak spy’ pigeon caught near Amritsar border

This SHO might win some sort of award from me! And seriously now even Pakistani pigeons will be treated as terrorist/spies/LeT operatives!

Tarkan- Kır Zincirlerini (Album: Ölürüm Sana / 1997)

Look what I just found! Music I was listening to back in 97-98! This is in Turkish and I admit that apart from just few words every now and then, I cannot understand much of it. But well Tarkan got some good tunes (or at least had back then). He is the same guy with the “Kiss Kiss” (Şımarık) fame.

8:43 am // I cannot even write any more!

For quite sometime now I have been sitting in front of my computer trying to write “anything” down on my log and honestly I cannot write anything which makes any sense! I feel dumb!

I really need to break away from my routine and travel. Looking forward to 7th of June.

6:56 pm // @*@#*@*@

I am so much pissed off at the moment that I cannot even begin to scribe the events here. “Not my day” has actually taken a pretty strong stance this time, and has extended itself on to “absolutely not my days” scenario.

I have a lot of emails and comments to respond to but I will restrain until I have these things under control.

I also wanted to write about some recent things but I guess I am not in the right phase at the moment.

On a lighter note, I learned my lesson last night - now I will really think twice before saying anything! Last night was a pretty crazy night and I feel sorry (for myself) for suggesting 8pm-8am staying up thing! Really!

11:14 am // not my day

Apart from the disappointment in the early morning, my debit card was “swallowed” by an ATM machine. On further enquiry on phone plus a trip to my branch, I came to know that my account was momentarily blocked for unknown reasons which led to the earlier incident.

But worse part is that I cannot withdraw anything from my main account for next one week (that is when I get my new card)!

And just few seconds back I spent 5 minutes around my electric kettle to heat some water - just to realize that I forgot to press the ON button.

Not my day for sure!

Edit 5:13 pm : thanks Ahmed Sheikh for correcting my ‘swallow’ thing. I guess ‘not my day’ keeps getting better :D

“

If Muslims cover themselves entirely, they affront Western values. If they assimilate sufficiently to dance in strip clubs, they’re hiding their real agenda. Muslims’ politics can be determined from their relatives, with Islam now a biological rather than religious category; Muslims are clannish conspirators, who behind the scenes secretly control everything, pulling the strings to shape beauty contests and scientific awards alike.

Any of this seem familiar? What we are witnessing is the birth of an anti-Islam rhetoric that mimics, depressingly closely, the key tropes of twentieth-century anti-Semitism. It will not end well.

DUDE, Where are you? it seems AMAZING there! I want to go, why was I not invited? Also that video of the young girls dancing to beyonce is really, really sad.

Hey, was on a short trip to Isle of Arran. Really a very beautiful place :)

Come to Scotland!

Yup - and just read some of the comments with the reblogs…
